Electrify Now

Make your home healthier, smarter, and more comfortable while reducing climate pollution

43% of carbon emissions in Menlo Park are produced by gas-powered appliances inside buildings.

Reducing pollution exposure and improving air quality is a priority concern in the Menlo Park Environmental Justice Element.

We're trying to change that.

Electrification is a key component of the City of Menlo Park Climate Action Plan. Menlo Park strives to convert 95% of existing buildings to all electric by 2030. It’s going to take all of us to get our city there.

Electrification is replacing appliances that use gas with electric appliances. You save money and create a healthier home.

Why Electrify?

Climate Impact

Eliminate methane gas from homes, one of the largest sources of climate pollution.

Health Benefits

Significantly improve indoor air quality and reduce likelihood of asthma, cardiac and other health problems.

Cost Savings

Reduce utility bills by approximately $360 or more per year with more efficient electric appliances.

Weather Resilience

Stay powered during outages with solar and batteries, while avoiding unstable fossil fuel prices.
